Tørn is a Norwegian startup enabling consumers to buy surplus building materials at significantly reduced prices — materials that would otherwise go to waste. The challenge was to design a clear, trustworthy e-commerce experience for a product category that most users had never shopped online before.
I built the design system and core UX from scratch, focusing on conversion and product trust. The interaction design addressed a key challenge: helping users understand how surplus products are linked to the original seller, and why buying surplus is both economically and environmentally smart.
UI and brand design were executed iteratively in quick cycles with a limited budget, increasing brand trust significantly.
