Onuai is a next-generation productivity platform for creatives and academic professionals — not a traditional to-do list, but an AI-driven system that actively manages your workload based on how you're actually doing, not just what's on your list.
The core AI engine considered multiple dimensions simultaneously: the user's current energy levels and wellbeing, task and project complexity, historical performance patterns, and momentum. If a user was struggling, the AI would automatically break tasks into smaller steps, adjust priorities, and protect momentum.
My job was to design how the AI communicated its decisions to the user — when to surface an adjustment, how to explain why a task had been broken down, and how to show awareness of the user's state without feeling intrusive. Trust and transparency were the core UX challenges.
